چکیده

We made a classical trajectory Monte Carlo (CTMC) calculation of state selective cross sections for processes between some light ions and excited helium. The results, useful for analysis of spectroscopic data of fusion devices, are in good agreement with theoretical predictions of scaling laws.

where ∇pα denotes the radial pressure gradient, eZα the charge, nα the density and upol,α and utor,α the poloidal and toroidal rotation velocities of the species α . Bpol and Btor are the poloidal and toroidal magnetic field components determined from the magnetic equilibrium reconstruction. One of the most commonly used diagnostic to evaluate the ion quantities is active charge exchange recomb...

Ion Collisions in Very Strong Electric Fields

A Classical Trajectory Monte Carlo (CTMC) simulation has been made of processes of charge exchange and ionization between an hydrogen atom and fully stripped ions embedded in very strong static electric fields (O(10 V/m)), which are thought to exist in cosmic and laser–produced plasmas. Calculations show that the presence of the field affects absolute values of the cross sections, enhancing ion...

Intrashell mixing following electron capture from atomic hydrogen targets by slow ions. I - Fully stripped projectiles

2014 The influence of the Stark effect on the l distribution of excited states produced by electron capture from atomic hydrogen into slow fully stripped ions is studied The Stark effect is strong enough, in these monoelectronic systems, to preclude any relation between the final l distribution and the primary process of electron capture. The latter determines the m distribution through « geome...
